FAQ
ONE by Aqua Platinum is an industry leader in providing fully customisable one piece tiled luxury swimming pools. We hope you find all the answers you need on our website, but we welcome any further questions you may have. Meanwhile, here are our responses to some of your most frequently asked questions:
One-piece or drop-in swimming pools are a straightforward way of designing your own swimming pool. A one-piece pool is simple to plan and install into a newly built or existing property with a time scale of 12-16 weeks. With many different design combinations, you choose your custom one-piece swimming pool, and we do the rest.
Our pools start at around £65,000. Cranage and all associated building work for the swimming pool installation are not included within this indicative cost and can be quoted separately.
We can offer finance for our ONE-piece pools, subject to availability and terms and conditions. Please contact us to discuss options.
We offer many different sizes of pools, and your water volume will vary depending on the extras installed. There are a few things to consider when choosing the size of your pool. Will it be used for exercise? Is it for the children? Pool size will also be dependent on your location, budget, and possibly planning permission.
Regular maintenance is essential to ensure that your swimming pool remains healthy and in optimal condition. The type of maintenance will vary depending on the location of your installation and your heat source. At Aqua Platinum, our dedicated aftercare team, Aqua Platinum Servicing, believes that regular maintenance is key to the longevity of any swimming pool. APS has gained a remarkable reputation as an industry leader in the swimming pool maintenance and refurbishment sector with a combined 30 years of industry experience. Our expert team offers a tailored approach to pool and leisure maintenance services specific to your requirements.
We deliver to your property. A crane may be required to transition the pool shell from the delivery vehicle to the install location on the date of delivery. Here at ONE by Aqua Platinum we have this covered. With over 50 crane installs, our team is on hand to get your crane quotation for you.
The operating costs will vary depending on your choices and location. Costs can be controlled by maintaining an ambient temperature in an inside pool room, using the correct level of insulation for your location, and keeping your pool covered with our slatted covers will save you energy when your pool is not in use.
We only use high specification filtration systems, with industry-leading water quality. No one likes that chlorine effect of having to endure stinging eyes and an intense smell. Here at ONE, we want to make sure you feel like you’re swimming in fresh tap water!
We also offer a pre-built plant room pod designed to be as compact as possible, and easily concealed within your garden or outbuilding. This reduces construction time, and the commissioning of your pool from delivery can be as quick as two weeks.
There are a number of ways you can heat your pool: gas, electric, air source heat pump, heat exchanger and, of course, solar.
This said, the future of heat pumps is looking very promising!
Reliable, highly efficient and economical to run, heat pumps extract heat from the air (similar to a reverse cycle air conditioner), and use that heat to produce hot water.
Heat pumps use just a fraction of the energy to generate heat from the air source. Although initially heat pumps take longer to warm up your pool, they are much more economical and will then maintain the heating as well as gas heaters.
Benefits of heat pumps include their high energy efficiency and lower running costs. As a guide, you can save up to 80% over LPG and 50% over natural gas fuelled heaters. And the best thing about heat pump pool heaters is that they operate regardless of the weather.
